In case you didn’t think it was possible to shoot an outfit post in a 2m2 space, I am here to prove you wrong. I have SUCH a soft spot for this space in our house – the smallest and arguably coldest nook, the storm porch, was that weird useless void between the garden and our back door, until we decided to give it a revamp last year. We spruced it up with white paint on the walls, charcoal grey on the shelving and hooks and then a darker royal blue for the storage cupboards and straight away it made a world of difference!
Believe it or not, the chair I’ve had since I was a baby! It was originally in my nursery room, has been painted several times and been with me through numerous house moves, so I absolutely love being able to incorporate it into this space and using it on the daily! We’d added a few plants to begin with, but it was only when we decided to take a trip to Ikea last weekend that we decided we would try and FILL it with plants, to create a proper outdoor / indoor room, that would compliment the views of the garden. Somewhere quiet to sit, to have a bit of a breather… and a cuppa. We’ve still got a few additions to make (I’ve spotted some plant wall tiles
that I am going to have to order!!). The sills still need a lick of paint and we’re toying with the idea of painting the walls a pale green – what dy’a think!?
On other news, I am officially obsessed with supermarket jumpers. Twice now I have nipped into a shop for some last-minute food bits (this time it was for pita bread) and found myself ACCIDENTALLY meandering through the clothing isles.. and picking up a jumper, or two (oops). This metallic green lurex stripe number was from George at Asda and was £6 in the sale!! £6! With a cute stripe variation of the arms and bell-sleeves, I feel like it’s the perfect transitional sweat to get us through from Winter to Spring, and as ya’ can probably tell, I’m never going to say no to having more greenery in my life!!
